Maintenance Service Alert: StrataSync services will be unavailable Saturday, February 17th, from 00:01 until 6:00 AM EST (US server), and 0001 to 0600 CEST (EU Server)

Please be advised that StrataSync services will be unavailable  Saturday, February 17th, from 00:01 until 6:00 AM EST  (UTC-5) for US Server hosted accounts, and from 0001 until 0600 CEST (UTC +2) for accounts on the EU (Germany) Server.

The following web functions, reports,  and Instrument synchronization will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

  • {VIAVI test instrument synchronization with StrataSync/CERTiFi}
  • {StrataSync and CERTiFi web user interface}
  • {StrataSync APIs/external interfaces}
  • {StrataSync scheduled and notification emails, including saved views and reports}
  • {StrataSync Reports}
  • {StrataSync Analytics dashboards}
  • {StrataSync data exchange links}

During this period StrataSync will be upgraded to release version 16.5.

StrataSync 16.5 will contain new functionality, performance enhancements, and bug fixes.

The release notes contain information about the above changes, as well as new operational information.

Please be advised that StrataSync Analytics services will be unavailable Friday, December 15th, from 21:00 until 23:59 EDT (UTC-5) for US Server hosted accounts, and from 21:00 to 23:59 CEST (UTC +1) for accounts on the Euro (Germany) Server.

The following StrataSync functions will be unavailable during this maintenance window.

All other services will remain in operation during this maintenance window.
During this period StrataSync will be upgraded to release version 16.1. StrataSync 16.1 will contain new functionality, security updates, and bug fixes.

StrataSync will be unavailable Friday, July 20th, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM EDT.

During this period, StrataSync will be upgraded to release version 8.1

 

Release 8.1 contains certain performance enhancements.

It is not expected to require release notes.

 

Expected outage duration is anticipated to be less than 1 hour.

StrataSync Mobile Tech Released

StrataSync Mobile Tech app is now available for the OneExpert instrument family (CATV and DSL).

Leveraging the always-on connectivity of Android/iOS mobile devices carried by most technicians, Mobile Tech allows syncing nearly anywhere and anytime including in the truck between jobs.  Test results can be geotagged and augmented with pictures or video files by leveraging the GPS and multi-media capabilities of the mobile devices.   Instrument sharing is also simplified as test data synced via Mobile Tech is linked to the app User ID, there is no need to change User ID on instrument each time that it changes hands.

Benefits:

  • Sync ONX meters anywhere and anytime the Tech’s mobile device has internet connectivity
  • Managers get faster access to test data, Tech’s have latest work orders assigned to them
  • Geotag test results to pinpoint service locations, prevent spoofing of test results
  • Enhance records of completed tests with pictures or videos of what was found and fixed
