ONX CATV Firmware Release 3.16.7 is now available.

This release is available to StrataSync users.
Note – This firmware will only be available to users whose administrators have placed it into “Approved”Status, and to users who have not enabled firmware management.
If your system administrator has not placed it into approved status, it will not be visible to you.

Updated Software for VIAVI SmartOTDR & T-BERD/MTS Instruments
VIAVI has released updated software for the SmartOTDR, T-BERD/MTS-2000, -4000, -4000 V2, -6000A V2 and -8000 V2. These latest software versions include test options and feature enhancements to enable network tests at new speeds and with new capabilities that make testing faster and more efficient.
New base unit functionalities (SmartOTDR, T-BERD/MTS-2000, -4000, -4000 V2, -5800, -6000A, -8000)
- Addition of JSON result file format (industry standard java based file format for results data transfer)
- Enabling detailed results search and correlation for big data analysis
- When OTDR testing with multiple OTDR pulses
- Generation of a unique SOR file with a single trace, this trace being made of the multiple acquisitions
- Setup menu, the acquisition time now represents the total time for all pulses and not for the individual pulses
- Expert mode: addition of a ‘fiber topology’ field in the setup menu to specify point-to-point or PON test applications
- The link manager file now includes launch and receive cable information
- Addition of “Date & Time” for directory naming convention, as well as “Job Id” for file naming convention
- Allowing for easier organization, finding and filtering of test results
- UI enhancement, alignment of the name on the application tab to the name of the icon on the home screen, making it easier to identify the application you are using.
- SmartTest: management of user defined labels (part of a license option)
New functionalities T-BERD/MTS-4000V2
- Integration into CerTiFi platform

SCU-1800 Firmware 5.0.369 – Now available via download
Previously released SCU-1800 firmware version 5.0.369 is now available to download via StrataSync’s Firmware update page.
Feature improvements include the addition of Test Point Compensation for reverse sweep and updated LCD display information about the SCU.

Note: The SCU-1800 can not be updated directly through StrataSync, but the firmware update file can be downloaded from StrataSync. This firmware file can then be used to update the SCU-1800 using its typical firmware update procedure, outlined below.
To download the SCU firmware follow these steps:
- Click on the Assets tab to open the drop down menu
- Select Update Firmware
- Ensure the Online updates is selected
- Choose the SCU from the asset type list
- Scroll the screen to the right to reveal the firmware download link
- Click on the download link to begin the download procedure

To install the SCU firmware onto the SCU:
- Log into the SCU to be updated
- Find and click the Settings tab at the top of the SCU’s Home Screen
- Click Firmware from the menus along the left side of the screen
- Click on the Choose File under the Firmware Upgrade section
- Point to the SCU Firmware file downloaded from StrataSync
- Click the Upgrade Firmware button to begin the firmware update procedure
