ONX CATV SW release 3.6.20 is now available

ONX CATV SW release 3.6.20 has been published to all accounts on stratasync.viavisolutions.com. This is a patch release that addresses some bugs identified in 3.6.18 and earlier releases. It also adds two small features, OFDM MER Subcarrier graph and OFDM Profile Max Modulation display.

StrataSync CORE Test Data retention policy to be active Saturday 2/17

As a reminder, Test Data records with dates older than 35 days will be deleted. This applies to StrataSync CORE subscribers ONLY.

This will be effective with the release of StrataSync version 7.5, on 2/17/18

StrataSync PLUS subscribers Test Data records  will continue to be retained for 6 years.
If you are a CORE subscriber, and require longer Test Data retention, please contact your VIAVI sales representative , Or VIAVI Customer Care , to upgrade to StrataSync PLUS

StrataSync Mobile Tech Released

StrataSync Mobile Tech app is now available for the OneExpert instrument family (CATV and DSL).

Leveraging the always-on connectivity of Android/iOS mobile devices carried by most technicians, Mobile Tech allows syncing nearly anywhere and anytime including in the truck between jobs.  Test results can be geotagged and augmented with pictures or video files by leveraging the GPS and multi-media capabilities of the mobile devices.   Instrument sharing is also simplified as test data synced via Mobile Tech is linked to the app User ID, there is no need to change User ID on instrument each time that it changes hands.

Benefits:

  • Sync ONX meters anywhere and anytime the Tech’s mobile device has internet connectivity
  • Managers get faster access to test data, Tech’s have latest work orders assigned to them
  • Geotag test results to pinpoint service locations, prevent spoofing of test results
  • Enhance records of completed tests with pictures or videos of what was found and fixed
