Release of Software Version 1.2.1 for the CX300 ComXpert Communications Service Monitor

VIAVI Solutions announced software release version 1.2.1 for the CX300 ComXpert Communications Service Monitor. This release provides an improvement and a number of fixes. The new firmware contains the following items:

Improvement

  • Improved user experience by further optimizing tab performance.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where FM measurements could be slightly off if using 30 kHz IF filter.
  • Fixed an issue with P25 Phase II reporting a high BER percent when using the 1031 pattern.
  • Addressed an issue with DMR All Call not populating the Radio ID field with the correct numerical value when pressed.
  • Resolved a problem that prevented VSWR calibration from being performed successfully.
  • Updated the DMR Generator menu to be consistence with Analog and P25 UIs.
  • Fixed a potential issue when using both a manual offset and cable loss, these could override each other, resulting in incorrect measurements.
  • Resolved a bug with HCPM where the signal was being transmitted in both slots.

VIAVI Solutions announced software release version 1.2.0 for the CX300 ComXpert Communications Service Monitor. This release provides new features and an Auto-Test Application. The new firmware contains the following items:

New Features

  • Added TETRA BS T1 Parametric Test as an available option (CX300-DTBS).
  • Added TETRA MS T1 Parametric Test as an available option (CX300-DTPM).
  • Added language support for Simplified Chinese.

Auto-Test Applications

  • ICOM P25 Series (CX300-TPIP25)

Improvements

  • Improved boot time – reduced total boot time to less than 3 ½ minutes.
  • Reduced tab switching time in UI to improve user experience and operational performance.

This firmware also includes a number of fixes.

     • Added DMR as an available option (CX300-DDMR).

     • Added 1-port Vector Network Analyzer for Cable and Antenna Analysis (CX300-SCAA).

     • Added support for external Bird Wideband Power Sensor (CX300-SPSB).

     • Added SCPI compliant Remote Command Interface.

     • Added Frequency Find functionality allowing you to quickly and easily find the frequency of your radio.

     • Added horizontal markers have been added to the Oscilloscope, Channel Analyzer, and Spectrum Analyzer.

     • Added VIP Tool™ capability (CX300-SVIP).
